Tomatillo fruits grow in a thin green husk.  They have a different texture and flavor then tomatoes.  They are used as the base for many mexican dishes.  Salsa Verde(green sauce).  Also can be preserved by pickling. Can be eaten cooked or raw.   Start indoors.  SOWING DEPTH  1/4".  Transplant after all danger of frost has passed.  Cannot tolerate frost.  Harvest 80 days. 

START INDOORS AND PLANT OUT AFTER ALL DANGER OF FROST, OR SOW DIRECTLY IN HILLS.  3 TO 4 SEEDS PER HILL. PLUM GRANNYS NEED FULL SUN AND ABUNDANT HEAT.  SMALL GREEN STRIPED MELONS THAT WILL TURN A ORANGISH/BROWNISH COLOR WHEN RIPE.  EDIBLE AND ARE VERY FRAGRANT. 75 DAYS TO HARVEST. SOWING DEPTH 1/2".
